Register New Users

If your agency is not currently using the EMSTARS system, please follow these instructions to become a registered user:

Check the list of participating providers to ensure your agency is listed; if it is not, please contact us and let us know you wish to participate in the EMSTARS program; Charter Program participants will begin submitting data in July 2008.

Identify two Key Users for your agency (one primary and one alternate); you may refer to the Reference Guide for an explanation of the Key User role; then contact us with the names and email addresses of your two Key Users; our Business Analyst will create your Provider ID and password, will register your Key Users in the secure system, and the system will send an email to each registered user with their personal username & password.

Read the End User Security Policy, sign the acceptance form, and fax the form to the Data Unit.

Once an agency's Key Users have been registered in the secure system, they may request additional user accounts online from within the EMSTARS application

Once you have your Provider ID and personal usernames / passwords, you can login to the secure site and begin using the system*.

Before you can begin submitting data to the EMSTARS statewide database, you will need to complete an Account Request Form for our secure upload server (Secure File Transport Protocol [sFTP]); please complete this form, along with original signatures, and fax the form to the Data Unit.

*Please keep in mind that the initial system has only limited functionality and will not be fully functional with all components until the official startup date of July 2008.
