Lessons Learned

This section has a list of lessons learned by pilot agencies. Lessons learned represent actions the pilot agencies would do differently if given the chance or instances in which they would have planned accordingly. If you would like to add to this list, please contact the EMSTARS Team and in the subject enter "Lessons Learned".

1. Understand what is being asked and why.
2. Understand the definitions of event and guidelines.
3. Define close call rules for your agency.
4. Have a training schedule for the EMS personnel.
5. Understand the common null values.
6. Establish a good relationship with your vendor.
7. Have an implementation plan for new software.
